Sirius Gps Challenge - continuous challenge to co-operation and communication
Sirius GPS Challenge is our highly technological orienteering race, which can involve very large gatherings.
Sirius GPS Challenge is a highly technological orienteering race that trains participants in co-operation, communication, resource distribution, decision making ability and role allocation.
Everyone can take part in the race, which is designed to create reflection and learning, while, at the same time, being motivating and fun to be in.
During the race we use computers, GPS tracking units, Google Earth and mobile telephones.
Sirius GPS Challenge is about obtaining the most possible points for your team. You get points by finding checkpoints and by solving tasks during the race. Each team (3-5 people) divides into two groups and agrees on an allocation of roles with respect to tasks at the base and in the field.
The game is intense and challenging for everyone. Important decisions must be made continuously and, as time is a scarce resource, the teams are forced to prioritise - just like in the real world.
